BREAST LIFT

A breast lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that aims to reshape and lift sagging breasts. It can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. A breast lift can improve the appearance and self-confidence of women who are dissatisfied with the shape or size of their breasts.

ABOUT BREAST LIFT SURGERY

Breast lift surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia, which means you will be asleep and feel no pain. The surgery can take 2 to 3 hours, depending on the extent of the lift and whether you are having other procedures performed at the same time, such as breast augmentation or reduction. The surgeon will make incisions in your breasts, remove excess skin and tissue, and reposition your nipples and areolas. The surgeon will then close the incisions with stitches, tape, or glue. You will have scars on your breasts, but they will fade over time and can be hidden with bras and swimsuits.

BREAST LIFT RECOVERY

After surgery, you will wear a special bra or bandage to support your breasts and reduce swelling. You may also have drains placed in your breasts to remove fluid and blood. You will be given pain medication and antibiotics to prevent infection. You will need to rest and avoid strenuous activities for several weeks. You will also need to follow your surgeon’s instructions about caring for your incisions, changing your bandages, and when to come in for follow-up visits.

It may take several months for your breasts to adjust to their new shape and position. You may experience some changes in sensitivity, numbness, or tingling in your nipples and breasts, but these are usually temporary. You may also notice some swelling, bruising, or asymmetry in your breasts, but these will improve over time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does a breast lift operation cost?

At Ciplastic, the initial cost for a Breast Lift procedure is $5,700 USD. Your final cost will depend on your specific individual needs.

What are the risks and complications of breast lift?

Like any surgery, breast lift surgery has some risks and complications, including bleeding, infection, poor wound healing, scarring, pain, swelling, bruising, seromas, changes in sensation, numbness, tingling, asymmetry, loss of the nipple or areola, implant rupture or displacement (if combined with breast augmentation), and dissatisfaction with the results. You can reduce your risks by choosing a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon, following preoperative and postoperative instructions, and reporting any signs of problems to your surgeon. You should have regular check-ups with your surgeon to monitor the condition of your implants and detect any problems early. You should also watch for signs and symptoms of implant failure, such as changes in the shape, size, or feel of your breasts, pain, swelling, redness, or inflammation. If you notice any of these signs or symptoms, you should contact your surgeon immediately.

How long do the results of a breast lift last?

The results of a breast lift are not permanent, as your breasts will continue to change with age, gravity, weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. You can expect your breasts to sag again over time, but not as much as they would without surgery. You can prolong the results of a breast lift by maintaining a stable weight, wearing a supportive bra, avoiding smoking, and protecting your skin from sun damage. You may need revision surgery in the future to restore the shape and position of your breasts.
