Hydrafacial is a type of facial treatment that uses a patented device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin. The device has a spiral tip that creates a vortex effect to remove impurities and deliver nourishing serums to the skin. Hydrafacial can improve the appearance of a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne, hyperpigmentation, and dullness. Hydrafacial can also be customized with different enhancers and add-ons to address specific skin needs.

About the Hydrafacial Procedure

The hydrofacial procedure is usually performed in a spa or clinic by a qualified technician or physician. The procedure consists of four main steps: cleansing and exfoliation, extraction and hydration, fusion and protection, and enhancement. The procedure usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the type and number of enhancers and supplements used. The procedure is painless and comfortable, and most people describe it as a gentle massage.

Cleansing and Exfoliation: The technician uses the device to gently exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells and dirt. The device also delivers a gentle chemical peel solution to the skin to loosen impurities and prepare the skin for extraction.

Extraction and Hydration: The technician uses the device to suction out blackheads, whiteheads, and excess oil from the pores. The device also infuses the skin with hydrating and soothing serums to moisturize and calm the skin.

Fuse & Protect: The technician uses the device to deliver antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid to the skin. These ingredients help protect the skin from environmental damage, reduce signs of aging, and plump the skin.

Enhancement: The technician may apply additional enhancers or add-ons to the skin, depending on the patient’s goals and needs. These may include LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage, microcurrent, or custom masks. These add-ons can help improve skin tone, texture, circulation, and firmness.

Hydrafacial Recovery

There is no downtime after a hydrofacial procedure, and you can resume your normal activities immediately. However, you should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect your skin, as it may be more sensitive and prone to sunburn. You should also avoid using harsh or abrasive products on your skin for at least 24 hours after the procedure. You may experience some mild side effects, such as redness, tightness, or tenderness, but these usually disappear within a few hours or days. You should contact your doctor if you have any signs of infection, allergic reaction, or serious complications.

Are you the right candidate for a hydrafacial treatment?

You may be a good candidate for a Hydrafacial if you have any skin concerns, such as dryness, dullness, congestion, or aging, that can be improved by cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, and moisturizing your skin. You should also be in good health, have realistic expectations, and understand the risks and benefits of the procedure. However, a Hydrafacial treatment may not be right for everyone. You should not undergo a Hydrafacial if you have any of the following conditions or situations:

  • An active skin infection, such as herpes or acne.
  • A history of keloid scars or poor wound healing.
    A recent sunburn or tan.
  • A recent cosmetic procedure, such as laser, chemical peel, or microdermabrasion.
  • A medical condition, such as diabetes, cancer, or autoimmune disease.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • An allergy to any of the ingredients in Hydrafacial products.
  • You should consult with your physician before undergoing a Hydrafacial to determine if it is safe and effective for you.

At Ciplastic, the initial cost for a Hydrafacial procedure is $85 USD per session. Your final cost will depend on your specific individual needs.
The results of a hydrafacial treatment are not permanent and can vary from person to person. Most people notice an immediate improvement in the look and feel of their skin after the procedure, and the results can last for several days or weeks. However, the results can fade over time as the skin is exposed to environmental factors, such as the sun, pollution, and stress. To maintain the results, you should follow a good skincare routine, use sun protection, and undergo regular hydrafacial treatments.

Hydrafacial treatment is generally safe and effective when performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner. However, like any medical procedure, it does carry some risks and possible complications. These include:

  • Pain, swelling, redness or irritation at the treatment site.
Infection, scarring or delayed wound healing.
  • Hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) or hypopigmentation (lightening of the skin).
  • Allergic reaction to the products or the device.
  • Rarely, burns, skin lesions or changes in the texture or sensitivity of the skin.
